AIKIDO -

Aikido is a Japanese martial art developed by Morihei Ueshiba (often referred to by his title 'O Sensei' or 'Great Teacher'). On a purely physical level it is an art involving some throws and joint locks that are derived from Jujitsu and some throws and other techniques derived from Kenjutsu. Aikido focuses not on punching or kicking opponents, but rather on using their own energy to gain control of them or to throw them away from you. It is not a static art, but places great emphasis on motion and the dynamics of movement.

Cardio Kickboxing -

Cardio Kickboxing is a combination of aerobic, boxing and marital arts and is one of the most popular fitness trends in gyms in recent years. These workouts, which are inspired by martial artists, have motivated many people to start a fitness program. This intense, total body workout can improve strength, aerobic fitness, flexibility, coordination and balance. The American Council on Exercise (ACE), which evaluates exercise products and programs, notes that during a one-hour kickboxing workout, you can burn from 500-800 calories, up twice the calories you burn during a one-hour step-aerobics class.

Urban Contemporary Jujitsu -

UCJ is a combination of three major styles of Jujitsu: Vee Jitsu Ryu, Sanuces Ryu and Kumite Ryu Jujitsu. Contemporary Ju jitsu is a martial arts system developed by Professor Bill McCloud from his many years training in Boxing, Karate, Aikido and Jujitsu. As times change and advances in technology are rapidly improving, so do the methods and techniques for urban survival. Contemporary Ju jitsu is a dynamic system designed to combat confrontations in the urban environment as well as a system to develop your mind, body and spirit into one entity. The intent is to develop an individual's will to accomplish goals that they may have thought were otherwise unattainable.

Yoga -

Hatha Yoga is an ancient discipline that has been practiced in India for thousands of years. Regular practice of Hatha Yoga can increase your flexibility and physical strength, calm and focus your mind, increase immunity, reduce back pain and general stiffness, and help you toward a more balanced, peaceful and healthy life.

In our Hatha Yoga classes, we focus on traditional breathing and physical exercises, relaxation and some meditation.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu -

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is usually practiced in a gi very similar or identical to a judogi (which is called kimono in Brazil [1]), but non-gi training is also part of the training regimen in many BJJ schools, and is sometimes referred to as 'submission wrestling'. It also has realistic self-defense application.
